We were on time for pick up, however, our van was not. After waiting 15 minutes, we called the office. They explained traffic was bad and our driver was on his way. We waited another 15-20 minutes before the driver arrived.
He was very irritated and defiant with other drivers to get out of the area. At one point, we were the only van going against a stream of traffic trying to bully our way through. Everyone was on eggshells, but we at least understood why he was late picking us up (due to traffic standstill). Once he got out of the tense situation, we clapped for him.
On the ride home, a couple of the teens shook their siblings seats and he reprimanded them very strongly. They deserved the reprimand, so that was appropriate. From that moment on, the entire van was silent until we arrived at the villa.
When he parked, he yelled at the kids again. As we quietly filed out, he proceeded to clap loudly in the ears of two of the teen boys. His behavior was very threatening and uncalled for. The initial reprimand was enough considering we went the rest of the ride in silence.
As we do understand the stress of the Oia traffic, I can forgive the late pick up. However, the threatening behavior of the driver was completely unprofessional. Therefore, I would not recommend this company.
